Faster and Safer Healing Process
With the innovative PRF or platelet rich fibrin technique we use at Weston Dental Care, our patient’s healing occurs faster than usual, and there is less chance of infection. PRF is a gelled membrane formed by the patient’s own blood that is used to protect the patient from harmful bacteria after surgical procedures. Since PRF is derived from your own blood, biocompatibility is guaranteed. No gelling agents are needed. No synthetic or animal-derived products are used. A 100% natural replacement for the “non-native” materials – bovine, coral or synthetic – used previously.

This method is scientifically proven to enhance your body’s own healing and regeneration systems, decreasing your chances of having post-operative complications and expediting the healing process. With this technique, Weston Dental Care continues to be a pioneer and leader in implant dentistry.

SONIC – Welding Technique
In some cases, your jaw bone is too thin or soft to keep the implant in place in its current state. This means there is not enough bone for a stable Implant. In this situation, during your treatment plan evaluation, our specialist will talk to you about the need of undergoing a bone graft for dental implants. Bone Grafting is the art of adding and growing the missing bone, so a dental implant can be firmly placed. The bone material is usually placed in a soft state and the body replaces it with new bone over a period of several months.

Weston Dental Care has now added a new Sonic Weld™ device in our surgical suite. This technology eliminates the hassle of undergoing additional surgeries needed with previous barriers. By using cutting-edge innovations, Sonic Weld™ developed organic and absorbable barriers that require only one initial surgery to grow bone in a safer and more efficient manner.

CEREC One-Day Crown System
Because at Weston Dental Care we use the latest in one-day-crown technology (CEREC), we have the ability to fabricate in-house, permanent dental implant crowns with no need for outside labs and all in one location. Typically, the crowns are created at an off-site dental lab and the process is lengthy and time-consuming. This is often frustrating, since it requires multiple visits before one can begin benefiting from their new teeth. At Weston Dental Care, with the addition of CEREC technology, we will have your new smile ready in three simple steps and oftentimes, in just one visit:

  • Step 1: Scan
At Weston Dental Care we spare our patients the discomfort of a conventional impression tray. We use the CEREC Omnicam scanner to make precise digital 3D images of the implant.
  • Step 2: Design
Once your new dental implants have stabilized and you are ready for your new permanent smile, our specialist designs the abutment and crown with the CEREC 3D software, which scans a digital picture and converts it into a 3-dimensional virtual model on the computer screen.
  • Step 3: Production and Placement
The software creates a rendering of your tooth and precise blueprints that our milling machine will use to create the final restoration. Milling/grinding the solid porcelain restoration design is extremely precise, giving the restorations smooth surfaces and edges and very fine fissures. Customized abutments provide greater clinical safety than standard abutments. In addition, the tooth-colored abutment ensures a natural look. You leave our office with a new beautiful and healthy smile.
